I'm a little nervous about being the first person to enter a story... but here it goes.
My father is in our local hospital being treated for advanced prostate cancer. He has now been there for over a month but he really wanted to get out of the hospital to see my brother's graduation from university. So, even though he is unable to walk and is often in great pain due to his cancer, his doctor allowed us to bring our father to the commencement ceremony. The doctor also assisted us in finding a nurse that was willing to donate her time to accompany us and he allowed us to borrow a wheelchair and the other equipment that we needed for the long afternoon outing.
I sincerely wish to thank the doctor (who I will not name since I'm not sure that he was allowed to do what he did) for his kind act. I'm sure that my father is able to endour the discomfort more easily with the joyous memory of his visit with my brother, mother and myself.
Thanks
